Sunscreen is designed to block UV rays, which account for only about 5% of the sunlight that reaches the earth's surface. It does not address near-infrared rays, which make up the remaining 42%. This sleeveless top covers your torso—the largest surface area—from both UV and near-infrared rays without restricting movement around the shoulders.
Wearing an ultra-quick-drying base layer is more effective at managing sweat than wearing a single shirt that doesn't absorb moisture.

Trubeaute®, a functional fiber to protect your skin and body
Trubeaute® is a functional fabric that combines threads infused with CWO®, which absorbs near-infrared rays, and threads infused with titanium oxide, which reflects UV rays. Since the functional components are infused directly into the fibers, performance does not degrade easily with repeated washing.
- Near-infrared absorbing threads: Infused with ceramic nanoparticles called CWO®, developed by Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd., which are also used in heat-shielding films for building and car windows.
- UV-reflecting threads: Combined with titanium oxide-infused threads, the fabric blocks over 99% of UV rays (test values based on fabric alone).
